Furious Dancing could mean many things but it has joy, intent and creativity at its heart. We are two communities intent on furious dancing in hard times in order to bring joy, create and make change. Working together and with our people we are growing a programme that will use art and creativity as both conduit and catalyst for transformation.

Heather Peak Morison
has established an ambitious collaborative practice over the past twenty years that transcends the divisions between art and architecture with social practice with her co-director Ivan Morison and the many artists and creatives she works with.

is often described as the ‘Godfather of Black British Photography’, whereby his iconic images have captured the evolving cultural landscape, social change, and stimulated debate in the United Kingdom over the past four decades.

Local poet Tom Clements has been writing poems for many years and has always enjoyed playing with words and loves to craft personal beautiful poems about his life.
Art Packs
The Creative Civic Change art packs were delivered to families in both Birchfield and Welsh House Farm. The first art pack included creative ideas for paper art, music making, papier mache and much more. Produced by: Faith Pearson, Sophie Handy, Kate Luxmoore, Adlin Shorter and Heather Peak.
Second Art Pack
Second of a series of art packs went out in Birchfield and Welsh House Farm in July. The pack for children and families included activities on creating portraits, sowing seeds, natural art and a poster inspired by the work of poet, Alice Walker from her collection “Hard Times Require Furious Dancing”.
